i had been on a non-meat diet for a month and today i started on usual diet again..kinda feel “guilty” in the beginning as meat is gona go into my stomach..haha.

what food i ate today…i had mac fillet for lunch and then had steamboat for dinner. well..i will say non-meat diet is always better..i felt bloated after my steamboat, not that i ate alot, but more of the meat. my experience with non-meat is that no matter how full i were, i would not feel bloated which is so uncomfy. i was at marina square for the steamboat, i had to actually force myself to go jalan jalan inhope that the walk will help ease the bloatedness abit. so i went shopping for about 3 hours, thats when most shops are closing.

Marina square is having some kind of food festa at the Square..i bought “Or-ni” yam paste for dessert, hee..wanting to have a sweet ending for my day.. OMG..the Or-ni is real disappointing and making me FURY..the yam paste is not smooth, the texture is so rough and you know what..the coconut that was supposed to go with Or-ni..well..i dont know what they put..but definitely is STARCH..the so-called coconut is so starchy..Yucks..this dessert had failed to end my day sweet, instead, it has end my day Burning with FURY.

The way or perhaps the no-standard or-ni…i wonder why Marina Square organiser allows this stall to take part.. apparently or maybe obviously telling me that no screening or no tasting is needed before they allow this stall to take part. Disappointing on the organiser.. also feel that we, as customers, are treated like a fool; are taken for granted. FURY..really, makes me angry with such peoples’ attitude to present good stuff..lack of pride in themselves.

ok..i need to end here liao..the more i write, the more FURY i will get. Catch up again.. Do keep coming for more FEAST or FURY !!!

Hi, my name is Jenny Quek, aka FireStarter.  I will be bringing you through my ” Feast Or Fury ” food journey.  Feast is yummy food that i enjoy and Fury is yucky food that makes me fustrated.

This blog is dedicated more to Singapore local food, where especially, stalls that are awarded by Makansutra and other award-givers.

I came with a mission to “tarnish” their awards, when their food did not taste as good as it proclaimed.  What a waste of my time queuing at such stalls! Such stalls are capitalizing on the so-called awards, profiteering from people like me ! FURY !

I also came with a mission to value  stalls that do not have any award, yet their food taste fabulous and so much better than those that have awards.  These stalls have gone unnoticed and they deserve credits. FEAST !

This idea has been burning in me for couple of years already and have thought of putting it into a book, but did not manage to collate my findings and lack of funds and no sponsor.

Anyway, now i have this blog to begin my mission.
